GVF is partnering with the Lower Merion School District to bring the My School in Motion program to Bala Cynwyd Middle School.

Components of the program include:​

• A parent/guardian survey to determine current transportation patterns and evaluate perspectives on walking and biking safety. 

• Education on walking and biking safely. Improved safety prevents tragedy.

• Understanding of the importance of safe streets, sidewalks, and connections in facilitating walking and biking to school.

• Identifying physical obstacles to safe walking and biking within the community to help prioritize infrastructure improvements during a walking and biking audit.

• Awareness of the academic and health benefits of physical activity. Habits won’t change overnight—many people are used to driving everywhere.
