GVF is partnering with the Phoenixville Area School District to bring the My School in Motion program to Phoenixville Area Middle School and Manavon Elementary School.

Components of the program include:​

• A parent/guardian survey to determine current transportation patterns and evaluate perspectives on walking and biking safety. 

• Education on walking and biking safely. Improved safety prevents tragedy.

• Understanding of the importance of safe streets, sidewalks, and connections in facilitating walking and biking to school.

• Identifying physical obstacles to safe walking and biking within the community to help prioritize infrastructure improvements during a walking and biking audit.

• Awareness of the academic and health benefits of physical activity. Habits won’t change overnight—many people are used to driving everywhere.
